CLARKE + SCHOLES is the collaborative venture of artists Ali Clarke and Gary Scholes. As well as continuing their own art practices they work together on specific projects that combine their mutual interests and creative strengths. Experienced in exhibiting work in group and solo shows in the UK, their work spans across various mediums including painting, sculpture, mixed media, installation and public art.

 

CLARKE + SCHOLES believe in the power of art to engage people and inspire positivity. Their ambition is to create art that is experimental, sustainable and accessible.

As part of their art & design practice they incorporate sustainable materials and enjoy experimenting with eco-friendly alternatives such as reclaimed wood, recycled paper, natural pigments, biodegradable materials and found objects. This commitment to sustainability not only shapes their artwork it also emphasises the connections between art, nature and society.
